Look Effortlessly Cool At Your Next Event

We've All Seen It Before. . .

you know, the girl that looks so cool and it's completely effortless? The motto, "I woke up like this" must apply to her because she's just so effortlessly fabulous. No need to hate on her, or stalk her Instagram for hours. We know how she does it.

To get that 'effortlessly cool girl' vibes, it starts with your dress. Throw in the right hair, shoes, and minimal accessories and we promise you that you'll be posting selfies all night long.

Here's how to get 'the look'.

The Dress:

For the vibe that you're going for, opt for a dress that is comfortable and make you feel confident. The last thing you want is to be picking and pulling at your dress all night because it's way to tight or keeps riding up.  Try something that will make you feel good about yourself.

The Hair:

We don't want to see any super tight curls or face movement restricting updos. Try something that is more casual. Think look curls, messy braids, or you can even go super straight with a middle part.

The Perfect Pair:

Of shoes, of course! Be comfortable in your shoes. Walking around like a baby giraffe does not scream 'cool girl' vibe. Make sure to practice walking in your shoes on hard surface well before your event. Our favorite tip-opt for a chunkier heel! It makes walking and dancing so much easier!

Accessorize:

Be chill with your accessories. No need for a huge necklace and super dangly earrings at the same time. Think minimalist. Let your cool personality shine for itself.

Repost from Faviana's Glam & Gown Blog

When you think about the term ‘minimalism’ the first words that you may think of are black and white, simplicity, order, geometric, or empty spaces. And you are right because they are in fact the main concepts on which minimalism is based.
Although it was born as an art movement in the 1960s, it was used for a few decades before that as a form of architecture. Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the international architect and owner of the famous motto “less is more,” had started using minimalism in the 1930s to create a different form of architecture. He accomplished this minimalistic look without having to use many different materials during the creation process, instead, he only used what was required to execute the actual intentions of the project. This created interesting buildings that had never been imagined before such as the Barcelona Pavilion, shown below.

Nowadays, fashion is one of the most common industries in which designers play with minimalism. Monochromatic hues, such as black and white, make it easier to distinguish the clothing’s quality, as well as its lack of patterns. People who choose to wear minimalistic clothing usually have a clear perspective of life, as they have no obstacles to distract them. They are also more open-minded to new ideas, projects, and adventures.
Need more excuses to go minimal?
You too can achieve this minimalistic look through Faviana’s collection of simplistic jersey dresses. These dresses are monochromatic yet sophisticated. When paired with a statement necklace or earrings, you forget they are such simple styles. These dresses with little embellishment will help you go for that minimalist look you’ve been striving for!

Faviana style 7894
Faviana style 7894 is the perfect dress to achieve that minimalist look! Available in either red or purple, this simple dress truly makes a statement on its own. All you need is simple jewelry to finish off this look.
Faviana style 7541
Faviana style 7541, available in five different colors, gives you the opportunity to have show off your minimal side. You will look amazing in this dress with the low V and cut-outs on the sides. Add jewelry if you would like or leave the dress to do all the talking!
Faviana style 7540
Faviana style 7540 has a sexy minimalist look to it. While it has cut-outs on the front and back, the dress is simple with no jeweled accents. You can play this dress up with fun jewelry or leave it be on its own.
All three of these styles are simplistic yet sophisticated; they corroborate Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s motto, “Less is more.” It’s so easy to accomplish this look every day but those were just a few ways to do it for a special event.

This La Femme dress has all over sequins in this trendy color and long sleeves. Pair it with a simple (rose gold) clutch, small sparkly earrings, and perfectly done shoes and we promise your outfit will be spot on.

LBD by JOVANI

You can NEVER go wrong with an LBD and this impeccable Jovani is no exception. Achieve 'IT' girl status by choosing a super hot shoe, minimalist gold accessories, and top it with a black fur. YASSSS girl, slayyyy.

The WINE and DINE DRESS

Scala USA style no. 47693 (find this here)

Okay, this long sleeved, plunging V, hip hugging dress is too perfect for words. It's in the perfect color for the holiday season too! Embrace your love for wine by wearing matching shoes! Pair with simple gold accessories like the dainty chevron necklace and minimalist clutch pictured here, and you're going to be turning heads.

LEATHER and LACE HOLIDAY LOOK

Mon Cheri Shorts style no. MCS21682 (See look here)

Okay so maybe there isn't actually leather (or lace) on this dress but it looks like it can be taken to the dark side with the right accessories. Punk this look up with copper bangles and an edgy heel. Throw in a choker and a hot pair of booties and we promise this will be phenomenal.

TWO-TONED for the HOLIDAY SEASON

   Sherri Hill style no. 50599
We've got to ask you, babes. Do you think floral belongs on the pageant stage? What about crop tops? Do you think we'll be seeing some two piece gowns on the stage on Sunday? We sure hope so!

   Tarik Ediz style no. 92823
We always love the way a Tarik dress flows down the runway. Red is always the way to go. Do you think a bold fire red will win this year?
